LA ROSE , as Mitterand walked with a pink rose in the Pantheon when he was elected President in 1981 !

i'm French and there are no national flowers in france. la fleur de lys is the symbol of the monarchy (which doesn't existe since the Revolution). it's the symbol of the very very conservatives.excuse me for my bad English
