What are the neccessary subjwct for Internationl relations?

what are the reqiremen for one to work in british Embasy

generally an arts degree would suffice.  IR would help. they hv even taken in engineers, architects etc.  the main requirement is presence of mind - ability to think on the spot - and to write english well and good.  lately many graduates dont seem able to write well.  

political science would help too.  the idea is to get a cross section of pple fr various disciplines.
