What are the necessary documentsto be prepared for a Filipina married to an American National.?

They got married 1 yr. ago,the lady has a daughter but not married to the father. Now that she is married to an American,the gut want them to follow him in the US.

The American citizen have to petition for his wife and step daughter.  

there are so many requirements for filipina to submit.

there will be a ton of paper, if she was married before? have they done this yet?
