  1. Food.

  2. Booze, food, some where to sit and most of all good company.

  3. bbq food beer chairs plates etc napkins glasses gazebo tables lights and heaters

  4. a selection of drunks, obese children, slowly rotting flesh and a lettuce

  5. 1. A method of keeping vegetarian food properly separate from non-veggie, including a separate set of cooking utensils and serving dishes.

    2.  Proper food like farm shop sausages and marinated meat skewers. Nothing worse than finding it's just cheapest nastiest sosi and burgers in dry supermarket buns.

    3.  No chicken drumsticks (well we always find there are loads left over). Skewers are much more popular and they cook quicker and more evenly, Plus you can intersperse meat with veggie bits.

    4. Some kind of foil wrapped fish.  Our Australian rellys wouldnt dream of only having meat and no fish.... and they also ALWAYS have pavlova. No point in making it in advance, just have the ingredients ready and call for help to put together in a kind of communal way. Then it's demolished as soon as its ready.

    5. Alternatives to bread such as tortilla and pitta bread that people can stuff with shredded salad and yummy sauces.

    6.  A range of flavours - see source for loads of different BBQ seasonings that you can make into marinades. Peri Peri is the fashionable hot seasoning of the year.

    7. Help.  Enlist people to do things. Again the Australian way is often when you get to a BBQ you are told what your job is going to be - in the nicest way - "Great to see you - can you make sure the ice bucket keeps topped up - there's bags in the freezer over there"  Many hands each doing one little thing makes sure YOU get to relax as well.

    Have a fun time
