What are the new recent herbal dicoveries?

Since nobody has answered, I'll toss in my 2 cents.

There aren't any "new" herbal discoveries (since they've all been around and been used for thousands of years), but there are a few herbs that have recently made their way into the media.

For example, Acai Berries have been used in the Brazilian rainforests for centuries before Europeans came to the Americas... but it's come into the limelight as a recent fad. Noni has been eaten in various tropical regions for centuries as an everyday fruit, but it's been on the market over the past few years. Mangosteen has been eaten around Asia since before wooden ships sailed the seas to get their spices, but has only recently been mass-marketed.

It is true that there is no new herbal discovery from long time or we can say from ancient time, but there are so many researches going on to prove efficacy of ancient knowledge of medicinal property of various herbs, which are in use in India, China and many other countries.
