I just moved to Miami and every Publix I've found here is 30 years old and has aisles so tight I can barely get my cart down them. Can you tell me where the new, nice Publixes are in the Miami area? Particularly, I'd love to find this one that I found a pic of online:

The ones I've been to are:

-Aventura

-Doral (41st St. AND 58th St.)

-South Beach (West Ave. AND Dade Blvd.)

-Brickell Village

-4870 Biscayne

I live downtown, so the closer the better, but I'm willing to drive!!! Any help would be much appreciated!

  1. The one on US-1 in North Miami Beach (could be the one you refer to as Aventura) is probably the best Publix you'll find down here in Miami. I live near the Publix in Doral and feel your pain, trust me.

The new Publix on Dade / Alton in Miami Beach isn't bad either but the one in your picture is in Surfside. The address is 9400 Harding Avenue (directions at: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=9400+Hardi...

    Enjoy!

  2. A really nice one is just west of the palmetto, on Bird Road, in the same shopping complex as the Target/Best Buy.  You can't see it from the road, but it's back there behind everything.  the aisles are huge, and the selection is as good as Publix gets.  Plus - you can buy cafe' cubano there.

  3. we live in destin, fla i was shocked how old some of the stores there are (publix ones).

I agree they need to do some updating.

DO you all have fresh markets?

those are extremely nice try one of those....we love it.

  4. The Publix in Lakes of the Meadows (Bird Road SW 152 ave.) was built about 10 years ago when I lived there, I've always found it to be super luxurious for my tastes, they have a large pharmacy section, a plant section, a book section, you name it. The deli is huge. It's a really big store; in fact, the whole plaza was built specifically for the Publix. It's a bit out-of-the-way, you might even say BFE, but I love it.
