My Mexican friends in Mexico City would always travel to Huatulco in the state of Oaxaca.  They said it was much nicer than Acapulco.  

Many people (Americans and Canadians) that I have known to have gone to Latin America have been to Costa Rica and say their beaches are gorgeous.  

My husband is from Nicaragua and has talked a lot about the Pacific coast beaches there being nice.

Just go to Puerto Rico there are alought of beaches there and they are all clean and beautiful!!

PLAYA BLANCA or "white beach" in Barú, close to Cartagena in colombia. also in cartagena, in the neighborhood "bocagrande" you will find nice beaches. but playa blanca has the softest sand you can ever find, and its beaches are EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL and calmed. enjoy!
