I plan on getting an undergrad degree in bioengineering and then transferring to UCSD to get my grad degree. Is this a good idea? So what are some non-UC universities in CA that provide an undergrad degree in Bioengineering?

  1. Its a fine plan.  Harvey Mudd, Stanford, Cal-tech and USC all have bioengineering majors.  Of those I would rule out Stanford - it is way hard to get into and IMHO not really any better than the others.  Not that they are easy to get into mind - just not as hard as Stanford.  Cal Poly Slo is worth thinking about as well.  Not as prestigious as the others but rated as the number 2 school for undergrad engineering in the US.

    Thanks
