  1. pretty good chances both my mother and grandmother suffered from anxiety and panic...i do now as well..i would say theres a link

  2. When I went to the doctor  about 5- 6 years ago for depression symptoms. The doctor told me it's pretty much heredtory. My mom later told me she has had and my sister has had it since she was a teenager. She is 30 now and I'm 25.  I would just watch for signs. And if it comes up talk to your child about it and see a doctore to keep it under control.

  3. Absolutely.  However, you have an upper hand on most parents.  You know what signs to look for.  Hang in there!

  4. Mental Illness is often genetic, not to mention, if the parents still suffer from the depression, the child may be experiencing some of the consequences of their illness, causing them to be down as well. They should all talk to a professional.

  5. depression is genetic so chances are high. We have that problem in my family.
