I was told that the odds are : 1 in 6868. The cards that were dealt to me were the King of clubs - 10 of Diamonds. Are these odds correct?

  1. For any two cards (ie. KC and TD) the odds of drawing those cards are 2/52 X 1/51 = 1/1326. This means that there are 1326 possible two card combinations that you can be dealt.

So, the odds of getting the same two cards as this hand in the next hand are 1/1326.

The odds of getting the same two specific cards in the next two hands (ie. getting KC and TD in the next two hands) are 1/1326 X 1/1326 = 1 in 1,758,276.

    I hope that this helps.

  2. my opinion is almost impossible

  3. sounds somewhat correct. it also depends on the number of players in the game i think (as more players = less cards you have to get the cards from).

it can happen, and that just means the cards were shuffled well (otherwise you would get one, and the next person would get the other card)
