  1. I consulted my magic 8-Ball, and the answer was, "That is not wise."

if you get pulled over, the time savings will be negligable.

  2. None after I call the Police and have you stopped for being an idiot.  With the advent of video cameras and cell phones, you do not have a chance.  Unless you like giving your money to the courts.

  3. NONE! The time you save will be burnt up being pulled over by the cops.

  4. The odds of breaking record time getting home if you take the emergency lane depends on the distance you need to travel and the number of cops in the area. But, I would venture a guess that you have an eighty to ninety percentage chance of beating your record best time. you have approximately 10% chance of being pulled over by a cop and maybe a 4-5% chance of crashing into a car that is broken down in the emergency lane.

  5. You make me so proud sometimes. Don't listen to these people telling you it's against the law.   Laws were made for everyone else to follow.

  6. as others have said you wont save any time and you are

bound to get stopped by the Police dept

also what would you do if you where driving fast in the emergency lane and there was car broken down in the lane?

you wouldn't be able to stop in time ! and wham!

you would have a nice accident then you wont be in hurry after that providing you are still alive)

and guess who would get  a ticket .... hmm YOU!

now if you happen to borrow a police car then perhaps you can then use the emergency lane

  7. its illegal to travel on the hard shoulder

  8. Whats an emergency lane?

I barely know what a carpool lane is.  Wow, you big city folks has got it real good.

  9. The time you save will be lost again sitting on the side of the road with the pretty red and blue lights behind you, finding and presenting your license, registration and proof of insurance, and the time it takes you to sign the promise to appear.

  10. I think you will be going to court instead of going home.

  11. Not any quicker by the time you have been pulled over had your details taken and watched a Video of yourself driving through the rush hour traffic, abandoning your car going to the police station done for careless driving or summat got let out manage to find your way back to your car and resume your journey on what will no doubt be quieter roads due to the fact it is after midnight.

  12. The emergency Lane, If you mean the Hard Shoulder (layby) of a Motorway, then Yes you would theoreticly save time if you drove in 5th Gear and went at about 100MPH, but there are likely to be Police Officers pulled up somewhere nearby and you will not neccercerily spot/see them.

If you want to get home quicker, then try Google Maps and your Satillite Navigation system, and the internet to see the quickest route.

Remember travelling at the maximum speed limit, 70 for Motorway and 60 for trailers, and change Lanes where neccercery, you can save time.

Try and choose a time when the Motorway is "empty"

  13. Lots of time if you're trying to outrun the cops that are gonna be hot on your tail! lol
