I am a vegetarian that doesn't eat dairy, smoke, drink, or use drugs (prescription or illegal). BMI is 19.4. I don't have a high-stress job. I supplement whatever minerals and vitamins I may ordinarily lack from my diet. I workout typically 5 days a week. what are the odds of me developing a heart attack or stroke?

My only health conditions are occasionally asthma and Gilbert's Syndrome.

  1. Obviously you are at lower risk for those type of health issues than someone who has a terrible diet, smokes a pack a day and constantly is frazzled.  However that's not to say it cannot happen.  Sometimes due to genetic background even the healthiest of people can and do have heart attacks and strokes.  I think though that you have more of a chance of some other tragedy happening than a heart attack or stroke, so I wouldn't worry.

If you are concerned because of certain symptoms then I would see your doctor and talk to him about it.
