  2. 50/50

but nukes won't stop the world from turning.  This planet has been bombarded by comets and other space debris for billions of years.  You really think a manmade device will destroy it?

  3. Slim to none.

The first country to fire a nuclear missile at anyone will be the second country to get nuked.

Would you want to be the leader who signed the death warrant of all his people?

  4. They already fly...

Nad you will most likely see your 25th birthday (not because of nukes)

  5. It will still be turning even if all of humanity was extinguished however, they will possibly be flying, as long as your country is a nice one or a friend with superpowers and allies of them such as America, Great Britain, have no fear.

    Craig.

  6. I'm glad to say I think the odds are very low.

One of the good things about the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is that the whole world knows what the result of using a relatively small bomb (12-15 Kt of TNT) can do.

The Russian Tsar bomb has an yield of 50,000 Kt of TNT.

Any country that first launched one would almost certainly cease to exist.

  7. No weapon has ever been developed and then not used in anger.  OK the USA used the Atom Bomb in WW2, but superkill weapons are just waiting until someone's daft enough to press the button.

  8. The first "nuke" flew in 1945 and they have been flying ever since.

Nobody with anything to lose would actually use them, it is the idiot with nothing to lose that is the threat, which is why, for different reasons, everyone is so concerned about Iran and North Korea.

However, unless a super power went off its trolley, interesting metaphor, the actual damage would be no worse than the last and only two.  So unless you are very unlucky you should live to be 25 and so should your children's children.

  9. nil

  10. Nil. Who would be mad enough to use one?

  11. I don't believe we have to worry about an all out war. Everyone on the planet would die or be driven back to the stone age. More likely the turmoil in the middle east will cause some nuclear incidences but I think it will be limited, and our response will devastate any country that thinks they can pull off a quick win . Not even the russians want to unleash the dogs of war. They are not equipped as well as america, and they are lucky america is not a conqueror nation.More likely a meteor strike from a body called wormwood than a total holocaust.

  12. Evens....

    You Just Never Know !

  13. Extremely low.
