  1. I very much doubt it, the chances of something like this happening are extremely low. If you are seriously worried about it then both of you can go to a hospital and get a dna or blood test. There is a reason it used to be and still is in some places that two people wanting to marrying had to do a blood test first.

  2. I guess it is possible.

How far apart are you guys.

If you are less than 10 months apart I would say no, but if you have the same birthday or are more than 10 months apart its a possibility.

Do either of you know your birth parents names? Try to find out or your parents might know if there was a twin?

Of you can do a dna test!

  3. You could be, get a blood test.

  4. Do you look like each other? Have similar genetic (but not physical) traits?

It takes time, but try to find out as much about your birth family/ies as you can before things go too far.

  5. That doesn't seem too likely..  You should get a DNA test!

  6. Quite high odds, actually.  It's happened more than you know.

  7. ya

  8. 1 in 6.5 billion

  9. get tested

  10. You're in california, find someone with the index. Its everywhere. The california birth index is totally searchable and alot of us adopted people, are listed in there by birth and by adoption. Not always, but its definitely worth a shot.

I had that fear too...and it sux. I would always ask my boyfriends if they were adopted, or if their mother surrendered someone to adoption.... crazy.

so sorry, I know what that feel like.

  11. She probably is your sister...lol.

  12. is there a problem with this?? i met my husband at a family reunion.

  13. This is reason #25 why adoption of minors should be illegal.

The chances are highly unlikely, of course, but it can and does happen.

Get a DNA test to put your mind at ease.

  14. Um....not very likely. Do you look alike at all? If you do, then, uh, you might wanna get that checked out....

  15. Though the chances are pretty slim, if it makes you feel better, get a DNA test.

  16. I think this is totally serious.  One of my greatest fears all my life was that I might unknowingly date or have a child with a relative.  Therefore, I was always attracted to men who were physically very different that I was and knew a lot about their family history.  Crazy to learn years later that full-blood brother and I grew up in the same state...not the one in which I was born/adopted.  Scary!

  17. holy cow, you ARE serious.

that must be scary. i hate to admit it, but dna testing may be the only way. i know these get pricey, maybe contact your doctor and ask about how to go about this. he or she may have a less expensive alternative. i mean you arent trying to prove paternity, just relation. maybe there are other tests that can tell you that without spending hundreds on dna.

good luck, i hope you are keeping it 'out' of the family.

  18. c**p!  Do you look alike?   If you're worried, you should get dna testing, it has happened to people.

  19. i think tat the odds are 9/10

    shes soooooooooooooo yr sis

  20. well if you think there is a possiblitly then get a dna test done and if she is your sister atleast you know that your parents put you up for adoption together

  21. Anything is possible

  22. You're fine. Everybody makes out with their sister.  Just in case though, wear a condom.

  23. No one wants to make fun of you but common sense should tell you to get a DNA test, or find the adoption agency with parants help shouldn't be a problem.

  24. I'm not laughing at you, I've wondered the same thing.  My husband was adopted in the same year that my half brother was given up for adoption.  We just hope for the best, and hope that he really was born where his birth certificate says he was (in another state than my half brother).  Our kids came out fine.  ;o)

  25. It sounds like you want to stay with her, so get a DNA test.  It's been known to happen.  It's better to get the test than to have this unresolved and hanging over your relationship.

  26. Sounds like a stretch to me...

  27. Dna test at a lab is about 180$if its a major concern.

  28. Get a DNA test dude!
