I'm looking to switch my electricity and gas to another company. Currently i'm with PG&E.

Why do you want to switch?  I love PG&E, they're very environmentally friendly.

It depends where you live.  Most of the Bay Area is just serviced by PG&E, but the City of Alameda provides electrical service, for example.  You can look through the various providers by going here:

Then click "Service Territory and Rates" at the bottom, go to California, then scroll through the list of providers to see if your city provides service.

Depends on what part of the East Bay you're in:try the East Bay Municipal Utility District(EBMUD), which(I believe serves Martinez, Benicia, Vallejo, Antioch, and Walnut Creek)
