Similar in appearance:入 (rù, enter),

八 (bā, eight), 大 (dà, big), 儿 (ér, son), ... etc

there are two similar characters actually

人 = ren2 = man (left storoke is big, right stroke is small)

入 = ru4 = enter (left stroke is small, right stroke is big)

however

there is also

八 = ba1 = 8

which is obviously different because there are two equal stokes and  some space between them

Off the top of my head: 入 (enter), 八 (eight), 儿 (child). I'm sure there's more though.

八 (bā, eight), 入 (rù, to enter), 大 (dà, big), 儿 (ér, son), 乂 (ài, to govern)... etc.

I used this really great site, called nciku (see the link in my sources). It has a handwriting recognition program that allows you to draw out characters, and then suggests ones that look like the one you drew. I used it all the time when I find characters that I don't know.
