  1. Yes, it is a special security paper designed make counterfeiting more difficult, and to last in circulation.  They also use special inks and engravings.  

    Banknotes in the Philippines are currently printed at either the Security Plant Complex, or the  National Printing Office; there are seven denominations:

    20 peso

    50 peso

    100 peso

    200 peso

    500 peso

    1000 peso

    2000 peso (commemorative)
