  1. Apples cost way more.

    not many game available.

  2. macs are really cool with all the applications but if you want to buy anymore they cost like over 100 a piece just to get Word or even the sims. plus once i got it my hard drive burned up in the first month but other then that they're really good computers. :)

  3. Don't go mac or vista, downgrade to windows xp, the format is familiar and you can still do pretty much everything you can do with vista anyway.

  4. A local millionaire who keeps his toys at the airport in hangars switched to all apple.

He said because they do everything he wants all the time.

He gave his windows IT dept. a nice severance, but he does not need the guys anymore.

He has a scale model of the titanic and plenty of investments.  He is smart with money.

He decided windows and the IT department were just too costly and a drain of his money.

  5. os x is much better its fast reliable very quick to start up and immune to viruses worms and trojans but its not compatible with all software and games and you may hav to install additional software on it to be able to watch movies in avi format for example and the mac msn interface isn't very nice nor is the safari interface but on the whole it is a great operating system but i would recommend you go for vista as it has greater compatibility and is alot more flexible

  6. If you go down the MAC route please be security aware. There are millions of infected MACs out there with silent trojens, keyloggers, and malware, all going undetected because MAC owners have believed for too long that MACs don't get sick. Nice platforms all the same, and you can always run windows if you want via boot camp or prefably VM ware.

I prefer the PC hardware platform. Apple are slowly morphing into a microsoft type corp. Whilst microsoft are slowly shrinking and losing influence, which is good news for open source and PC creativity.

  7. You should try deadening your arm by sitting on it, then do whats known as a stranger!

  8. Install XP and then install the Vista Transformation Pack.

  9. Go back to XP

  10. Oh, the d**n things work all the time and make few mistakes and are never down.  What a cross to bear

  11. Well, OS X is definitely faster and more secure than Vista, and Apple's hardware is very nice and sturdy. Macs can't run software made for Windows, but many programs have been ported such as MS Office and they have their own versions of all the other programs you need. The only pitfalls are price and compatibility.

  12. Well, it all depends on your style of using the computer.

    1. If you happen to play games on your computer, do not get a mac because you will not be able to game on it.

    2. If you are not well educated on computers and constantly having problems navigating around the operating system, you may want to go with a mac.

    3. Macs are fine computers because they are very reliable and fairly easy to use. As of right now I have a gaming rig which runs on XP(I built this in March of 2008 and chose XP over Vista)

    4. If you are the type of person that uses the computer for work or something where you need to have it running smoothly without problems, then maybe you should just get a mac.

I am only 15 right now and my computer is a heavy weight and it can handle a lot but I am constantly worrying about something going wrong. I've already decided the when i go off for college, i will get a mac laptop.

Once again, if you need your computer running everyday without hiccups, you MAY want to get a Mac.

If you have a nice computer right now, I would not recommend getting a mac and I don't know what your budget is but the lowest end current gen mac laptop is around 1200 USD, so think carefully and make a wise choice.

YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH A MAC
