I'm going there from 1st June - 4th June (4 days 3 nights).

I'm going to stay in Novotel Rue de Vaugirard (supposedly Novotel Les Halles, but I made a mistake with the booking) My dad's kinda upset so I need to know the places near there cus I wanna make it up to him.

We're definitely going to the Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower, Disneyland (and possibly Notre Dame and Champs Elysees)

I need some really really awesome place(s) to visit which are just a walking distance.

Really really appreciate your help.

Dad - early 50s

Mum - late 40s

Sis #2 - mid 20s

Sis #3 - early 20s

Me - 14

Brother - 9 (will turn 10 on the 3rd of june. so on the 3rd day we're going to Disneyland)

  1. When you get to Paris, go to the little magazine stands and buy the Pariscope. They have an English version. It will tell you everything happening in town that week. Buy it as soon as you get there, spend a couple hours on it and plan your stuff.

Also the subway in Paris is amazing. It will take you anywhere. If you want to see a art Museum with younger people like you and younger, i would not recommend Le Louvre. It is too big and there is way too much stuff. I would recommend the Musee D'orsay which is pretty close on the south side of the river. Also the "invalides" is the military museum where Napoleon is baried. It is very cool.

You are 14, and your dad let you do the booking and b*****s?? :)

Have fun in Paris. It is for me the most bueatiful city in the world and I have seen a bunch..... I miss it....:(

  2. Paris is pretty compact and most of the "good" things are within walking distance...otherwise the metro is great ( apparently you don;t need to walk more than 500m anywhere to find a metro!)

Notre Dame is great and I loved Sainte Chapelle ( stunning stained glass!) and are close together. I would recommend getting a good map...I found that there is a good laminated one that does not get torn, is great in the wet and folds up quite well.....I did get lost a few times but hey....it can be fun!

Eiffel tower is good...Arc de Triomphe has great views...has a bit of a walk up,  but worth it.....

The website below has a few tours you may be interested in doing....or it can give you some ideas as to what you may like as well.

    I loved Paris...have a great time!

  3. Try this program on my blog.

As my program is for 2 days, you can also do one day in Eurodisney.

The Novotel rue de Vaugirard is probably well too.

    Enjoy your visit

  4. Everywhere, mate. It's all brilliant,  The only "possibly" should be Disneyland. Banal, like all the rest of them

Make sure you go to Notre Dame and the Sainte Chapelle. Both within walking distance of each other.

Also eat on the Rive Gauche and look for "Prix Fixe" on the menu. They'll always be good, and excellent value..

  5. I think you have all the tourist stuff covered!! paris is amazing , make sure you give yourself a full day to  visit the louvre because there is so much to see in there !!
