I am doing a english project about poems, we have read a lot but i need to know the basic poetic devices i can use when i am writing poems. I am desperate thank you but i would like to know the 5 main poetic devices!

Well, there's not really 5 main poetic devices, but some things that are used are:

rhythm

rhyme

figurative language (similies, metaphors, personification, onomonpeoia, assonance, others like that)

and organization. (The way you organize your words and put them into motion)
