What are the points for on the bottom of McDonalds happy meals?

They used to put numbers on the bottom of their bags to indicate how many food items could go in there.  The bigger sandwiches and fries counted as 2 each, the smaller stuff 1 each.  I didn't work there when there were Happy Meals.
