  1. Married couples only living together on base. The military doesn't require the children be adopted unless they are to receive military benefits. They will have to be HIS dependents to get medical/dental etc.

  2. If you marry, your children would be eligible for health care benefits as his step children. If you and he divorce then they and you will lose those benefits. You can't live in base housing unless you're married. If there is nothing available they will pay him additional money to live off base to cover rent and utilities. If you're not married, no benefits, no housing, no housing allowance.

  3. You have to be married to live in base housing, some bases will not let him live off base depending on rank (single people).  I am assuming he is living in the barracks, you can not move in there with him.  If you want your children to have medical then you would have to be married, he wouldn't necessarily have to adopt them.

  4. You would have to be married to qualify for base housing.

  5. Have him check with the housing office to get the most up to date information. Policies change and they can differ between services too.

Get it straight from the horses mouth not his behind.

  6. You will not be allowed to live with him on base.

Only married couples can live on base.

Yes, you have to marry to move on base, no he doesn't have to adopt your children for them to live on base, after your married.

  7. Only if you marry, or if you become his dependant.

  8. You can't live in on-base housing with him unless you're married OR he's an E-5 or above and for some reason there's a spot available at his base.  Right now, though, most bases have a really long waiting list even for married couples.  Married couples with children have preference.

He would not have to adopt your kids.

Single Soldiers also aren't allowed to move off-base until they've reached E-5 paygrade.
