  1. Ya, great answer answerman.  I have a 1992 Yamaha waveblaster that tips like no other with just me on it.  Then if my sis wants a ride, she has to hop up and I gun it, usually resulting in her being catapulted off the back lol.  Definately a great time, but if you are looking for relaxation topped with major speed and ease of control, the newer models are for you.  Mine however, has a lot less heft to it.  Its really light which allows me to get air off the smallest wakes.  It does around 45 too, which isnt bad, but the new ones can really crank it.  Older Models advantage:  Less expensive (mine was around 2k), light, more air, and lots of laughs.  Newer Model advantage:  Speed, and lots of it, usually handle pull for reverse, waterproof compartments, extremely stable, family friendly, and towing/seating capacity

  2. the older models are less stable, the newer models are more stable, more for leisure, rides around the lake, tubing, pulling, etc. the older models are probably most likely used for falling. i have a '91 and i fall all the time! i just got a '04, meant for speed and stability.

the newer models should have better hours on it.
