lets say 8-9 cups a day from 9am-6pm. What are the possible side effects?

I have been experiencing weird sensations in my joints. I dunno if its because of the coffee or something else.

  1. addiction...

  2. Actually coffee can make you horny.  With that much coffee you are bound to get into trouble.  Just kidding.  The problem with your joints is probably related to herpies which is caught by sexual activity.  You need Valtrex or something.

  3. hmmm.

Its a diuretic, but not a very potent one...I dont think that would be an issue at eight or nine cups....

It can cause intestinal distress in some, but thats at higher doses...

It does NOT cause weight gain, infact it is used for WEIGHT LOSS purposes as it speeds up the metabolism due to Central nervous system stimulation.

Increased blood pressure, but its temporary...this can lead to head aches, but caffeine also constricts blood vessels, which actually helps with migraines and head pain.

Its actually in most migraine medications.

It might mess up your sleep if you drink it much after 4-5 pm, but you dont seem to have a big issue with that.

The main problem I can think of will be withdrawal, its quite painful, you get headaches, severe lethargy, its not fun.

Takes about 3-4 days of no caffeine for your body to return to normal.

  4. Well, coffee ruins your liver, and you need your liver to live! Maybe cut down on your coffee or stop all together. Coffee also weakens the enamel on your teeth. So if you want to have liver problems and rotten teeth then keep on drinking! I am sorry if I am being rude, but I just want to be honest with you!

  5. - You will have constipation for sure :P

    - teeth can turned yellow and dirty

    - you can put on weight

    - you may loose your sleep

so  babes .. its better to reduce these 8-9 cups to 2-3 cups

have a good time ahead :)

  6. That is a lot of coffee per day.  As far as side effects there are to many to name, rather, a few affected areas are: The heart, muscles, and the electrolyte balance (there are many other things which occur, but unfortunately I do not have the time or the energy to go over everything).  I personally would recommend you try to seek alternative forms of energy (ig, exercise, stretching, etc.)

  7. I've known/know many people who drink as much coffee as you do and don't know of anyone having joint pain.  This sounds like something you should speak to you doctor about.

  8. Heart Palpitations, insomnia, anything really - too much coffee is bad!!

  9. wow 8-9 cups per day?! don't you get dizzy with too much caffeine in your system?!

all i can say is that if you drink too much coffee, your teeth would turn yellow.. and that would look nasty for a 20 yr old girl..

  10. i don't know about your joints but my friend's dad was hospitalized for about that much coffee a day b/c his heart bugged out. caffeine makes your heart pump really fast, it's no good in such a high amount. try to cut it down in a BIG way but i'd reccommend to take it slow b/c that can cause a big headache. start w/ seven cups as your limit for the next two weeks and continue to cut it down.

im sorry i don't know about your joints, but it's likely. caffeine is a drug, it alters the way your body works, and in such insane amounts who knows all of the effects.
