My good friend has just been diagnosed with lordosis or sway back. I've read about the condition, but nothing seems to talk about surgery. She apparently has a 50 degree curve and will have to have surgery to correct the problem. Could this some howw by harmful to her? Or will it most probably be okay? Please help her and me have a better understanding.

  1. it depends how they are going to do it, but straightening her spine will help her breathe better, and stop her abdominal organs getting compressed, but it may be quite painful to have done, however, she may already be suffering pain, so she may be willing to put up with it while it all heals.
