  1. There is little on going pollution problems with renewable resources.  For Nuclear power, it is the nuclear waste generated.  For solar power there may be heavy metals involved.  The biggest problem with renewable resources especially wind and solar is that they are not constant.  We can not control when and where a wind will blow and we know that we can not create energy from the sun 24 hrs a day since the sun sets at times.  Than you have the people who do not want to look at the solar panels or wind turbines so they shoot the creation of them down.
