when i was driving and crossing an intersection..i suddenly saw the headlight of the car who is coming from the left side of crossing ..i step on the breaks but still i hit the taxi..the taxi was already in my front-right side he then got out of his car to check the damage..i was scared and because of that i ran! and i dont have a license with me.. (he didnt see me..) another thing that triggered me to run is the road im heading to is dark..hoping that he will not see my plate numbr

my stand is if i didn't hit the break im sure he's the whos gonna bump me. what can i do to solve this? can i settle it by paying the damage that i've cost? or can i do anything like cover it up..that i was not the one who is driving ..but another person who has a license?

and when it was time registration we didn't registered our car after that incident because it was damage..after 5 months,we registered it but the land transportation office wont accept it because of the reported file ..pls help!

  1. Cop to it. Come clean. Do the 'Right' thing. Turn yourself in. Admit your mistake. Be honest. Take your lumps. [ Learn to use proper punctuation, grammar and spelling. You 'break' something when you hit it with your car. The pedal that stops your car is the 'brake'. ]

You made a mistake when you hit the taxi, you probably didn't look to see if anyone was coming. Intersections usually have some sort of control - lights or a stop sign. Maybe you didn't stop for a stop sign. Maybe the taxi didn't stop for his stop sign and he's at fault.

Don't worry so much. You had an accident. You should have just stopped and talked to the guy and taken care of business - you shouldn't even focus on not having your license with you (where I live you must have it with you when you're driving, but if you don't, you may get away with it by being courteous with the cop. After all, you ARE licensed and he can punch you into his computer and find out).

You can hopefully settle it by paying damages, but you're almost certainly going to be cited and or fined for hit and run.

You may want to call the taxi company, anomalously at first to see what they say. Be nice, apologetic and polite. And try to be articulate.

    Good luck.

  2. You are going to be charged with a hit and run. You are gonna pay out the *** in fines if you dont go to jail for it. Good luck

  3. Leave the country.

  4. OK. From what you tell me I figure it was really dark at the time of incident. Also I assume that you still don't have a drivers license at this point. Therefore you should start by applying for and obtaining a learners permit. Therefore you can escape the hit and run charge by claiming that you were a learning driver at the time of incident and since it was dark you didn't know that you hit someone but thought it was another car crash that happened close by. Therefore you rightfully drove off and only when you got home you found the damage. So you should now register a file asking for the person you hit to come foward, pay for the damage and everything should be settled. Else buy a new car and register that instead.

    Hope this helps
