  1. too many to count.  the worst ive done was land on my head without a helmet (i still dont wear one).  other common injuries are breaking bones and concussions.  thats about it

  2. death would be the biggy

  3. worst ive ever had is a bruised shin bone... besides that the most ive done is knock the wind outta myself.  ive seen a few broken bones and concussions.

usually what causes the injuries is the fact that youre rocketing down a hill and falling hurts more the faster you go but hittin something when going fast is usually what causes the worst injuries... either that or trying something well above your level and going off a cliff (double diamond blacks will have cliffs on them)

but yeah, like everything else snowboarding can kill ya.

80% of injuries are due to stupidity

    10% are due to inexperience

    10% are just plain accidents

  4. the worst that happened to me was a concussion  from landing on my face off a jump and a lump the size of mars on my leg from running into a tree on my 1st tree run

if you dont do park  and stay out of trees you have a way less chance of getting really hurt but that would be boring

also many people break wrists but its pretty safe if your not stupid

  5. injuries and death are the obvious ones.

    addiction.

what most people dont realize when they begin snowboarding is that it is not just a sport, its a lifestyle. It will stay with you for the rest of your life. Once you're hooked, which can happen after just a few runs, you will never be able to quit. Withdrawal symptoms usually start within minutes of getting off the hill. This addiction may cause you to spend excessive time at the ski hill, ditching all your non-boarder friends. It may cause you to loathe summer for what it deprives you. It will haunt your dreams. you will quickly notice that you have significantly less money than you did before you started boarding, because, like any addiction, it does not come cheap. gear and lift tickets add up quickly. you may become so absorbed that you find its your favourite thing in the world, that nothing gives you a bigger rush.

that is an often overlooked danger of snowboarding, but if you want to make some of the best memories of your life and never suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder ever again (atleast in winter), then it is a risk well worth taking.

  6. theres alot lol

i tore my knee when some idiot collided with me   it wasnt preety

  7. Dangerous?  Safest sport I can think of!  Well...

common injuries include: broken or sprained wrists (when you fall heelside and put your hands back); broken collarbone; concussion (especially with no helmet) from falling on hard snow and hitting your head (along with associated possible neck injuries), bruises (sometimes really deep), especially on the knees and butt (can you say that here?).  I could add that a good heel side slam gave me whiplash once and another time I pulled my calf (really badly - still have the lump of extra muscle that pulled - I think that was an equipment malfunction - lace up boots ONLY for me!).  There is the common butt slam that feels like gluteal muscles were left behind up the slope, and becuase of the knee slams, I wear knee pads that really help.  I wouldn't want to leave out that running into a tree can kill you, and there is always the possibility of some other idiot creaming you and putting you in the hospital.  Anyway, the injury list mostly becomes more serious the further along you get - falling on the bunny slope might break your wrists if you are really unlucky, but missing the landing off a thirty foot kicker can do all sorts of damage.

That having been said, once you are up to a comfort zone, to stay in that zone is pretty safe - I only fall when I push myself to learn new jumps and stuff, and I loooooooove to go fast through just about any surfaces, even some bumps (except maybe hard pack ice).
