What are the predictions on the effects of global warming in 30 years time?

There are plenty of wild predictions out there.  If you go by past predictions, none would come true.

The most common are that the earth will flood, we'll all starve and die.

They predicted that would happen by the year 2000, and now they predict it will happen by 2020.

Anyone can make up doomsday predictions all day long.

My prediction is that we're going into a cooling period and may be in it for 20 years.  I also predict that because of the global warming scare we will have such high prices from taxes and carbon offsets that we won't be able to afford the fuel to heat our homes when this cooling period comes.  So enjoy the heat while it's here.

If the presidents decide to do something about it, It wont get worse. But if people keep litering, driving, burning fossil fuels, etc, then it will get worse. I'm a huge environmentalist, and Bush doing nothing about it is making me mad.

Most of the world will be hotter causing crop failures - high food prices and starvation.

Much of the world will be wetter causing floods.

The glaciers will melt.

Why wait 30 years? Man-made global warming is already causing these effects.

There are predictions that it will warm, predictions that it will cool, predictions that it will stay the same.  I can't say what it will do but I know one thing, when someone says that we have only ten years to act, that means they think you are an idiot and will believe whatever they have to say next

For decades, environmentalism has been the Left's best excuse for increasing government control over our actions in ways both large and small. It's for Mother Earth! It's for the children! It's for the whales!

But until now, the doomsday-scenario environmental scares they've trumped up haven't been large enough to give the sinister prize they want most of all: total control of American politics, economic activity, and even individual behavior.

With global warming, however, greenhouse gasbags can argue that auto emissions in Ohio threaten people in Paris, and that only global government can tackle such problems.

National sovereignty? Democracy?

Forget it: global warming has now brought the Left closer to global government, statism, and the eradication of individual rights than it has ever been before.

Not much is going to change. Our planet has done this time over and time again in the past. We are basing phenomenal changes in our RECORDED history of about, what, 100-150 years of our planet's several billion year "life"?

Man did not start and cannot stop climate change/GW no matter what anyone thinks.
