What are the problems faced by Chennai's hotel brands?

hi, am from uk, I am doing a research project based on brand management of hotels in Chennai. Now am finding difficult in framing question based on the topic, can any one help me in my findings or can even suggest on what can be done, thank you.

  1. i will try to answer this question. Brand name comes from over all perfomance or Iconic nature of the hotel. It must have atleast few of these qualities.

    1. Example Ginger hotels price is less and best value for money and nice accomodation people who are upper middle class prefer it becuase of advanced nature of deal like booking from internet and corporate stuff..

    2. It must be extremely iconic like what we see in beijing.  If the hotel is very tall building say like 90 floors they become iconic. So they get brand automatically.

    3. The problems faced by indian hotels in general is no rooms available because of season stuff which will damage hotels reputation and affects its deals with big clients.

    4. No quality hotels.(food, multi crusine)

    5. Price sensitivity and stuff because Indian hotels are low quality and extremely expensive when compared with chinese.

    6, A hotel costing 500 rs in India is like a hooker one but same one in China is like really good.
