What are the problems with Intamaraca in Brazil?

Itamaraca Island belongs to Pernambuco Estate in Brazil. The region has beautiful beaches, sand dunes, several kinds of birds species. The island has a center for protection of manatees. The biggest activity between the residents is the tourism.

The problems/challenges the authorities faces is the control of the Real Estate market and the expansion of hotels and buildings and the tourism itself. They island needs the tourism, but on the other hand, the constant expansion of it it could result to damages to the environment. The island has a ecological park with several species in extinction.
