  1. Send it back to the manufacturer for recycling.In many states this is mandatory.The lead and acid are hazardous wastes and will contaminate drinking water aquafiers.


  2. Other than take it to a recycling center?

    Really you should netralize the acid with a basic solution such as bicarbonate of soda solution prior to disposal. Use Phenolthaline or litmus paper to test for neutrality.
