Im talking about my friends 2 front tooth. He is getting a porcelin fused to metal crown for the 2 front teeth on the top row. Whut are the side effects and pros and cons. He is getting the one that lasts for 15 years and is $3500. It the best one there is. Some things he said he heard are that they are heavy and sometimes not comfortable. And if it does not fit properly on the grinded tooth it can start to decay by making a home for sugars. Plz tell me everthing about them in your OWN words. 1. dental crowns are not a real tooth, so of course you will feel uncomfortable for the first time, cos it's not natural, but you'll get used to it soon or later.

the best way to maintain your crowns are to have a really good oral hygiene, you should brush every after meal and do flossing at least once a day.

Juz as you said, it can start to decay by making home for sugars, that's why you need to maintain your oral hygiene, toothbrushing and flossing is really important, and please don't use toothpick.

Good oral hygiene = No decay = no problem
