What are the pros and cons of a 90's Saturn sedan.?

Do these cars have any inherent mechanical weaknesses?

The early 90's saturns are pretty good. My friend has one pushing 260K miles and they only replaced a starter the tires struts and basic mantinence. the body is not metal so it will never rust. ( I have never seen him wash it) and it still gets 40 mpg with the 5 speed.

I however do not like the new saturns since they switched to gm they have had alot more problems the 2000's sl2s are a good example.  google sl2 reviews
