  1. Each case is different. Sometimes one is called for, sometimes the other. You need to let your dentist decide. Check out this:

btw, root canals are not as bad as most people think. Generally, you feel better as soon as the first stage is complete!

  2. You need to visit with your dentist about this. When having a root canal you are trying to save the tooth. A dental implant is put in to replace a missing tooth. Not everybody is a candidate for an implant also. Your dentist would be able to let you know your options better for a specific tooth.

  3. Hello...Ahhhh...What is the Pro or Con with an Implant verses a root canal...Ok, try this on for size...If you get a successful root canal you still have a permanent tooth in place and the cost will be around $1500 with a crown if required...On the other hand an Implant will first require an extraction, then placement of the Implant post, then the placement of a crown over the post...Cost will be about $4000.00 up..Also, keeping a root canal tooth is  far better percentage choice than an Implant...There are no test that can determine ahead of time if your body will accept the implant post....Good luck and I wish you well.
