  1. Well I go to a very small college (a little over 2,000 students), so I can give you the pros and cons of that

    Pros:

    -Small class sizes

-More personal help from the teachers

-You get to know people when you first start there and will most likely have them in your classes again.

    Cons:

-Feels a lot like high school, which is not necessarily a bad thing unless you're trying to get away from that.

-Be prepared to answer questions when the teacher calls on you, b/c of the small classes.

  2. I wouldnt say it should be a cruicial factor, but yes it should matter because it will effect your environment and social life.

Small populated college may have less of a social life, and offer a less diverse of programs/ majors. Small populated college may also be small do to it being highly selective, but then again it could be small due to it's low ranking in education.

Large populated college may have a better social life, and tend to offer more to the community... like programs, majors etc.. Could be large due to accepting almost every applicatoin, or well known for its good teaching and students would like to apply there.

    Just a few examples.
