  1. I'm not sure I understand your question but here are my answers:

    1)I went for tests at the university and they told me that above a certain heart rate called the lactose turn point, your body cannot remove the lactose from your muscles as fast as your body is producing it (less oxygen=more lactose) this causes cramping and bad power efficiency(like running a car without oil)

    2)Contrary to popular belief this state doesn't improve your lactose turning point but it does give you a improved VO2 max (the amount of oxygen your body takes from the air) and it improves your cardiovascular(heart muscle) fitness
