I always wanted to get mine removed and am just wondering if they do more harm than good? Will my lung function/lung capacity improve? Will I be more susceptible to illness afterwards?

etc.

  1. You can play tonsil hockey ^_^

  2. People like to say that having tonsils remove will impede the lymphatic system and your body's ability to fight disease. This really isn't true, and it is a proven fact that tonsils generally are more of a liability than a help to the human body. Yes, your breathing will improve if your tonsils are persistently enlarged and blocking your airway. There is no proof that you will get sick more- if anything, your sore throats will most certainly become less frequent. Best of luck!
