  1. Well, maybe what I say will sound quite controversial but, I would say Teti's biggest impact on small peoples' lives was through popularizing alcohol. Why? Well, Teti was a fierce backer of goddess Hathor cult. And how did they please Hathor so that she wouldn't direct her aggression towards Egypt? By offering the Goddess more beer and wine. Eventually Egyptians made more beer and wine and they honed their brewing skills.

    From the political point of view, Teti granted more land + money to his officials (councillor, vizier) which saw a transfer of wealth from his Court to officials.

    Allegedly he was killed because of that and his son Pepi I had to bribe the insulted people back.
