  1. I don't quite understand you but if you are talking about society and certain countries then it can impact both ways.

For example in certain countries like russia need larger families to produce larger families to help with the economic demand, ie, there may be many job vacancies and economic opportunities and therefore their is a requirement for an increase in population. Where as say a very poor country that is basically crushed economically, no jobs, no great facilities would rather see the population decrease to meet with the demands. That's why you have this situation where many poor country people are moving to western countries for opportunities. Especially in europe where countries like UK cannot cope with the increase in population. Look at Japan and China where they limit family size to help their situation with housing and the economy.

  2. Well, there is the family economic. Fewer children impose fewer expenses during childhood. There's the emotional. That would depend on whether you enjoy the atmosphere of a large family. There's the larger economic. Fewer children mean a smaller work force, which generally then has to be augmented with imported labor. whether you'd find that a pro or a con i can't say.

  3. Check with why China imposed the one child per family law.  It is to control the population growth, keep employment high, keep costs low, helps give parents more time to spend raising a child as a family instead of going out and slaving at a job to feed 8 kids.  With more money left over from having only one child, they have a good chance of sending that kid to college.

I have a friend who has 5 kids, but could only afford to send one of them to college, I figured it out for him and I told him that if he would have had only two kids, he could have sent both of them to medical school.   He got mad at me about that.  Hey, he asked me to figure it out for him, not my fault.
