  1. Er, i know only one con of live food. My friend's bloodworms had been in bag of diseased water giving all of her fish white spot. At least with frozen you can be sure that any infections have been killed off.x*x

  2. Live:

    Pro:

Fishes are more eniticed to eat them. they also hold a lot of natural nutrients that some commercially prepared foods lack

    Con:

They have a tendency to introduce dieases to the tank.

    Frozen:

    Pro:

They are less likely to introduce disease in the aquarium

    Con:

They are expensive to buy and maintain (they must be kept in a freezer)

    Flake:

    Pro:

There is little to no possibility of introducing diseases in the tank. Also, most fishes in the trade are trained to eat these stuff. They are also cheap

    Con:

They "swell" because they absorb water. as such, hen fish eat them, there is a high risk of excessive fluid build up within their system. They also lack some nutrients that live food offers.

    Freeze-dried:

    Pro:

They have less risk of introducing disease in the tank than frozen and live while still provide fishes the same amount of nutrients

    Con:

Some fishes do not readily accept them and it will take some time before they feed on freeze-dried foods.
