I am considering getting the instinct cellphone from telus.

I would like to know the pro's and con's of the phone.

If you give me good answers, I will give you good ratings.

If you wish to know about the phone, search up Telus instinct on google. Have fun!

  1. The Instinct is a very nice phone. Whether or not it's the sort of phone that is kind of like a novelty (meaning, it looks very nice and is very cool to be able to show off but isn't as functional as a conventional cell phone) or not has yet to be determined.

Text input and other things on the device are a breeze, it really is a VERY responsive touch screen and I really love the menu system as well as the wireless browser which is much nicer than the conventional browser found in the other non-data phones on the Telus lineup. You can input text and navigate through the menus fine with your fingers but there's also a stylus included in the box if you're more comfortable using it - now keep in mind the Instinct doesn't have a compartment for the stylus so if you wanted to carry it around with you you'd either need to purchase the Instinct's leather case ($29.99) which has a spot for the stylus or carry it around in your pocket. The phone also comes with a 2GB card in the box for your music and photos.

Upon its initial release in the states a little while ago it was having a few software issues but Samsung released a software upgrade since then and all Telus phones come with this latest version. I haven't heard of any issues with the Telus version yet so you probably don't have anything to worry about but you might want to be a bit cautious just in case those same bugs arise in the Telus model.

Personally, I think the phone is very cool and would encourage anyone who wants a really neat multimedia phone but doesn't want to spend the extra money on a data plan to get this device. I especially like the small extra touches such as having to slide the 'end call' button across the screen to end your call so that you don't accidentally hang up on people with your cheek!
