  1. Pros- you are not forced to house troops in your home...

    Cons- A little outdated, but heck ya never know


  2. The "pro" is it was necessary at the time of ratification to spare citizens from being forced to house soldiers. The "con" is it isn't truly necessary anymore as we are a nation with a standing military and have bases, barracks, and a military that is field deploy-able. It is an anachronism.

  3. No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

    This has no effect on me unless we are going to be in a civil war. Are we?
