What are the pros and cons using SKYPE?

it's a phone-ish service you can put on your computer.  You need to buy a headset, but after that most calls are free/very cheap.  

i recommend it.  sound quality is very good, even for overseas calls.

Pros ? You can buy a phone number really cheap for a whole year. That number works wherever you get internet access and have the program running.You can even buy a phone nmumber in outer countries that you call often or receive calls from someone there with that number is a local call for them.  It works great !

     Drawbacks ? If you consider it one , theres no 911, the caller id doesnt work in the US yet and I can't buy a phone number in my wifes country yet (Philippines).

      A lot of the calls cost pennies if anything !

Skype is a good program.
