What are the pros&cons of having an after market spoiler ?

I just bought a carbon fiber spoiler for my Mazda RX8 its made of carbon fiber its 7inches tall with the stands and 57inches it look the same as the Tenzo R spoiler

The advantage is down force.

The disadvantage is lower top speed.

Tune in a formula one race some time, and take heed to the discussion of the rear wing.

So unless you are already cornering at the adhesion limit of your tires, there will be no benefit except looking fast and going slow.

Well if your not really doing any serious racing then there is no point of the downforce talking.  They say at 60mph aerodynamics actually start to work anyways.  Pros are it will give your car a much better look for a daily drive, separates you from all the other RX8, Cons for daily driving will be looking in your rearview mirror.  It will make it hard to see in certain situations.  And hating *** cops will pull you over more likely.

cant think of many cons except if the installer did a bad job. otherwise, the pros would be more selection and the fact you got carbon fiber which you cant get at a dealer. not sure if a spoiler affects insurance rates. pretty sure it WILL NOT!!! i love the rx8 but dont have the money so i may settle for the mazda 3 hatchback.
