Prospects of becoming a special needs teacher in the U.S. (if you're seeking employment in the U.S.) are extremely great! There is a shortage of special education teachers all over the world, for those countries/continents who accept and want to educate children with disabilities; however, the U.S. government is actually paying people's student loans after 5 years of service in a special education classroom. Needless to say, finding a job in the U.S. will not be a problem.

Singapore? Well - not so sure.
