What are the qualifications for being validvictorian?

is it based completly on your GPA or does community service and other stuff like that play a part??

  1. Do you mean valedictorian? It depends on your school. When I graduated high school it was based completely on GPA. Many schools aren't even recognizing valedictorians anymore.

The qualification for being valedictorian in our high school is simply GPA.  They will change it shortly to GPA and ACT scores.  Schools have to have some way of figuring it out that makes it completely objective (meaning nobody could argue with the results, since they're based on numbers.) That would rule out any extra points for community service, leadership roles, etc.
