Degree/ PhD in physics/computing/maths/engineering - I guess electrical, elecronic, construction etc etc

You might rule out a tendency to glow in the dark. Seriously, you would probably need at the very least a bachelors degree in either advanced mathematics or nuclear physics. You may require a working knowledge of German since a great deal of documentation is done in German. You might check these links:
