  1. San Diego has more hills, while the island has those god d**n sand fleas. Aside from that, the two depots are the same.  I advise you to not mess with rifles at all before you join, so you don't arrive with any bad habits.  To be a scout sniper, you need to be a grunt and shoot expert. It is very, very competitive.  Just so you know it is OORAH, not HOO-RAH like the d**n Navy says. And you haven't earned the right to say either of which until you graduate boot camp so you need to stop.

  2. You need to shoot expert. Start running, that is where most people have problems. Do push up and sit ups as well. Lifting weights won't help you one bit. Get your heart pumping.

  3. there also is a base in the siarra nevada mountans that trains you for the cold mountan survival training like in the war in afganistan

  4. About 3 times what Normal Marine Corps PT reqs.

Not really anything you can do to get a leg up... just be prepared for grueling conditions...

Uhhhh h**l yeah Paris Island and San Diego are different, they're polar opposites, San Diego is about a hot though..just not humid

Congrats on actually getting in to Scout Sniper school, thats an accomplishment in itself

    and its... Oorah not Hoorah...

  5. you have to be chuck norris to do that job
