Please name jobs that I'm qualified for in the USAF and USCG as a non-us citizen.

Links to websites that answers my question are welcome as well. Thanks!

  1. I don't believe you can join the USCG as a non-citizen. And in the USAF, any job that does not require a security clearance.

  2. A non-citizen cannot be an officer. They have to serve as a non-com. As for specific jobs, the USAF needs people to drive refualing tanker trucks real bad. But really, it depends on what you can do.

  3. Here's a link to the Air Force jobs. You'll have to go through and look at the qualifications if you need a top secret security clearance for any of them you can't do that. You have to be a citizen.

You know don't you that after you've served one year of honorable active duty you're eligible to apply for citizenship?

  4. You can join the Coast Guard, you will not be able to re-enlist though unless you become a citizen.  You'd have to call a recruiting office for the list of rates you are eligble for, I don't recall off hand, but I know it's limited.

Enlistment into the U.S. Coast Guard, or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, by citizens of other countries is limited to those foreign nationals who are legally residing in the United States and possess a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Alien Registration Card (USCIS Form I-151/551 - commonly known as a "Green Card"). Applicants must speak, read, and write English fluently.
